Thank you for your accurate assessment of the West: weak. Post-Depression prosperity has weakened our fabric both as individuals and as a country, a country founded on self-sacrifice and humble acknowledgment and obedience to the Word of God.

We are living in culture prophesied in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 that stands in STARK contrast to those we know as “the greatest generation”:

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.” (NASB)

Thank you for your acknowledgement that we must look outside of “OURSELVES, and look to God.” This statement runs in opposition to the highly psychologized and therapeutic culture that proports that our answers are found within. Jeremiah 17:9 tells us a different and sure truth. Apart from Christ, we have no hope, no supernatural ability to endure (the biblical definition of endurance means to remain steadfast under pressure) for what lies ahead for believers. May we be found faithful and courageous to stand first for Christ and do all we can to make a difference in our communities and country, for which we will surely face war time opposition.

Thank you for this reminder. I'm a mom of 3 adult children in their early 20's. My oldest son & his wife love the Lord and trust in God... my middle/daughter and youngest/son have bought into the world's lies. We raised our kids in a Christian home, to the best of our ability (certainly not perfect). Please pray for our youth! Will, you are an encouragement to me. God bless you! 🙏💙

Could not agree more! It’s no coincidence that the most atheist/secular generation is also the easiest to control & most fearful. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The reason our men do not want to confront the evil and are passive is because it starts in their own home. How can they confront the enemy when they havent lived their lives keeping God's Laws. In Revelation 12:17. The dragon makes war withe those who keep the commandments of God AND have the testimony of Jesus Christ. When we have one without the other and not both, we are weak. Men cannot shine the light and defeat others if the light cannot be shone on their deeds. Time to follow the commandments. The war is coming...It seems inside of you that you know and feel it. Prepare Will by reading and keeping God's commandments. And that's KJV isnt it? :) God's speed to you Will. The women need more men with courage. :) Our families depend on it :)

Well said, Will! This was so awesome and full of truth. Thank you! I really enjoy and appreciate your weekly biblical series post; it is so awesome!

It is so true about what you said about our society today and where true strength comes from. This was something my pastor was talking about today in his sermon on Genesis 16. In Genesis 16, we see how Sarai and Abram got impatient with God concerning his promise to them and they had a lapse of faith which resulted in unpleasant consequences. My pastor also talked about Isaiah 40:31 and said how the Lord will strengthen those who discipline themselves to wait on him in faith. He also emphasized how the season of waiting is a tremendously blessed one.

I find the verses preceding Isaiah 40:29-31 to be very fascinating as well.

Isaiah 40:27-28 says,

"Jacob, why do you say, and Israel, why do you assert, 'My way is hidden from the Lord, and my claim is ignored by my God?' Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding."

Trust in God begins with recognizing who he is and believing it. It is truly hard to find words to describe how amazing the fact that the Creator, the everlasting God, who never tires or wearies, gives us the strength we need and ministers so lovingly to us when we simply trust and wait on him. Like you said, life is hard and when it's at its most difficult that is when God wants to minister to us and strengthen us to keep going. It is truly a beautiful thing! God is so good and gracious to us!

Thank you again! Have a blessed week!

Thank you Will. I have always thought of my spiritual life and communion with God, that I have studied and worked on for years, is the reason I just cannot physically or emotionally go into the fear and lack of purpose that's been projected upon us these days. I trust in the Lord who strengthens me when I ask and when I am in fear. I almost lost my son to leukemia 6 years ago and when I finally surrendered to His will accepting that no matter what happened we would all be ok in the Lord, was when absolute miracles began happening. He is with us and healthy and I am grateful everyday. May God's love keep us all.

True if we don’t turn back to God we are gone. The America of then wouldn’t want to call America today America. I believe the founding fathers would be ashamed of 21st century America’s values because if you look at some of the morals and lifestyles of some Americans today, if they lived back in 1776 they would be burned at the stake. Some American men today aren’t even proud to be a man ,want to be a man. or act like a man.

You have encouraged me to create my own substack newsletter. I am reminding myself that this is about God, not about me. I am excited to see where this can go. I am strictly searching for the truth, standing for what is right. Now- in these days- That is a leap of faith when those around you seem to be standing for nothing at all.
