Thank you for your accurate assessment of the West: weak. Post-Depression prosperity has weakened our fabric both as individuals and as a country, a country founded on self-sacrifice and humble acknowledgment and obedience to the Word of God.

We are living in culture prophesied in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 that stands in STARK contrast to those we know as “the greatest generation”:

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.” (NASB)

Thank you for your acknowledgement that we must look outside of “OURSELVES, and look to God.” This statement runs in opposition to the highly psychologized and therapeutic culture that proports that our answers are found within. Jeremiah 17:9 tells us a different and sure truth. Apart from Christ, we have no hope, no supernatural ability to endure (the biblical definition of endurance means to remain steadfast under pressure) for what lies ahead for believers. May we be found faithful and courageous to stand first for Christ and do all we can to make a difference in our communities and country, for which we will surely face war time opposition.

Thank you for this reminder. I'm a mom of 3 adult children in their early 20's. My oldest son & his wife love the Lord and trust in God... my middle/daughter and youngest/son have bought into the world's lies. We raised our kids in a Christian home, to the best of our ability (certainly not perfect). Please pray for our youth! Will, you are an encouragement to me. God bless you! 🙏💙
