The left absolutely does hate what Tolkien stood for and this is their way of changing lotr to make it fit what they want. Also those fake movie covers really do show how stupid the left is. They’ve made white people black in soo many movies but the thought of changing a black person to be white is absolutely unheard of. Stop changing movies and shows and make your own stories with all the black people you want.

They ruined another one of my favorite stories with wokism….Wheel of Time was a complete joke.

Thank you for that heads up! I had been going to watch it-but a couple of the ads made me hesitate. Glad I didn't after reading your comment.

Couldn’t agree more! As a committed Hobbit and LOTR fan and enthusiast I will definitely not be watching it! I’ll pop in my dvds if the original Peter Jackson movies and wonder once again in the world Tolkien created.

I agree completely. I was so excited for the new series to come out since I'm a big LOTR nerd. But ever since I've seen what you've put up and their Instagram account pictures I'm just annoyed. It's going to be nothing like Peter Jackson's work and that is pathetic.

I agree 100% with you Will Witt!!! When my daughter in law didn't approve of Disney changing physical characteristics of 'the little mermaid' some people were really ugly & nasty. It's unfortunate that regarding movies/series/etc remakes and originals have only one thing in common - the title.

To bad these studios don't come up with their own work.

This is kind of how I felt when the Last Jedi came out. Then again when the Wheel of Time was released. There's been countless others, but those are the ones that stick with me.

It's unfortunate that the only way to stop it is by not viewing it at all.

With those who've been against the various movies or TV series...if you're going to dedicate multiple videos on how horrible it is, it's getting attention. Saying it's bad isn't going to stop or prevent people from watching it, it will in fact do the exact opposite.

Yet with good shows...they get 1 video getting praise, people watch it and its time in the sun is over.

As long as the garbage is getting millions of views from those who love and hate it; it is how things will remain. Indefinitely. The creators know the formula to pull the most people.

Rings of Power will pull in views from the people who will hate and criticize it. It will pull in views from the side pretending it to be 'amazing'. It will pull in the remaining view from those who are curious and those who want to see 'what all the commotion is about'.

Most of us fall into one of these categories.

It sucks, because when YouTubers (for example) make videos about why 'X' was bad, the YouTuber and me the viewer watching it are contributing to the problem. Spreading awareness for that movie or TV series occurs. These crappy series are getting free advertising, even if it's negative.

Because ultimately, some attention is better than none. Would you rather have 20 people talking about something positively, or 20,000 with mixed reviews?

I agree with Will, and I don't know how to fight something like this other than ignoring it altogether. Don't give them the views, clicks or reviews. Give them nothing.

This is fiery truth and I love it. A well-worded defense of the true, the good, and the beautiful. If Amazon's hackneyed desecration of his work has Tolkien rolling in his grave, your reaction has at least given him a cushion for his head.

Culture is upstream of politics. Want to change America? Pay attention to culture.

The midterms and the next presidential election really mean absolutely nothing if we just ignore culture. Like cool - bandaid on an amputation seems like a good solution.

The battle rages on, thanks for being on the front lines, Will!!!

Thanks for that Will, I'm definitely not watching. It is very sad that they are doing this seeing as how LOTR are the best movies of all time. Do you think there will ever be anything good out of Hollywood again?

The scenes from Amazon's LOTR look like a knock off from Xenia, warrior princess. Anyone who's read the LOTR trilogy can't deny that there are some racial overtones in the story with white pigmentation connoting good and dark connoting suspect or evil. I recall when reading Return of the King there was a point in the story when men were showing up to defend Gondor. Some were described as "darker hued" and as such possibly not trustworthy. So in no way is LOTR woke nor did Tolkien leave things open ended such that characters could be remade as racially diverse social justice warriors or the LOTR franchise easily remade into a multiracial saga.

I will be cancelling Prime shortly after this airs when my sub ends and I don't want to finance garbage like this.

Keep speaking truth brother. Some of the same people that say it’s no big deal because LOTR is fantasy are also the ones who support historically inaccurate narratives about America. A lot of inconsistent worldviews out there.

Just honestly thank you so much for this, Will. Tolkien fans are few it seems, but you being one of them and standing among the conservative fans is just sublime. The left can’t even leave Tolkien alone…there must be something we can do!
